In October 2022 in honor of Accreta Awareness Month, Dr. Karin Fox, MD joined NAF for an engaging live presentation on placenta accreta spectrum followed by an interview and community Q&A. Discussion topics included how placenta accreta is a spectrum, the importance of individualized care and factors to consider when interpreting the literature.
Dr. Karin Fox is the Program Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship program, Medical Director of Maternal Transport at Texas Children's Hospital, Director of the Placenta Accreta Spectrum Care Team as well as a board member of Pan-American Society for the Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS2).

Discussion topics included who is at risk of accreta, the importance of pre-delivery diagnosis, why you should get a second opinion and how better outcomes are achieved by receiving care from a multidisciplinary team at a hospital that has experience treating accreta.
For the December 2021 installment of our Accreta Expert Interview Series Dr. Daniela Carusi, MD & Dr. Kara Brown, MD joined NAF to discuss Placenta Accreta Spectrum & Maternal Mental Health. Topics included medical aspects of placenta accreta as well as maternal mental health, the patient experience and how to fully support women through their accreta experience.
